As well as correcting some small mistakes in manuscript and text entries, the update includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>47 new <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coptic-magic.phil.uni-wuerzburg.de\/?sfid=11222&amp;_sfm_all\" target=\"_blank\">manuscript entries<\/a>, bringing the total to 795.<ul><li>The database now includes all entries for the Greek magical texts from <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coptic-magic.phil.uni-wuerzburg.de\/?sfid=11222&amp;_sf_s=&quot;supplementum%20magicum&quot;&amp;_sfm_date_copy_earliest=-400+1940\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Supplementum Magicum<\/em> <\/a>(SM), published by Robert Daniel and Franco Maltomini.<\/li><li>The manuscripts table now also contains links to the database <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/to-zodion.net\" target=\"_blank\">To Zodion<\/a>, <\/em>directed by <a href=\"https:\/\/ucm.academia.edu\/RaquelMart\u00ednHern\u00e1ndez\">Raquel Mart\u00edn Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a>, and containing copies and descriptions of drawings from magical texts.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>5 new edited <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coptic-magic.phil.uni-wuerzburg.de\/?sfid=20347\" target=\"_blank\">texts<\/a>, bringing the total to 27. These include:<ul><li>&#8230;the three texts of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coptic-magic.phil.uni-wuerzburg.de\/?sfid=20347&amp;_sfm_manuscript_id=126\" target=\"_blank\">P. Mil. Vogl. Copt. 3<\/a>, which contains another interesting <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coptic-magic.phil.uni-wuerzburg.de\/index.php\/text\/kyp-t-341\/\" target=\"_blank\">love spell<\/a> calling upon the traditional Egyptian deities Isis, Osiris and Apis; our new edition was produced in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/uottawa.academia.edu\/RoxanneB\u00e9langerSarrazin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Roxanne B\u00e9langer Sarrazin<\/a>, who recently completed a doctoral thesis on these texts.<\/li><li>&#8230;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coptic-magic.phil.uni-wuerzburg.de\/index.php\/text\/kyp-t-344\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a beautiful limestone amulet<\/a> now held in the National Museum in Scotland which contains two prayers written by the monk Frange who lived in a pharaonic tomb near Thebes in the early eighth century.<\/li><li>&#8230;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coptic-magic.phil.uni-wuerzburg.de\/index.php\/text\/kyp-t-730\/\" target=\"_blank\">a very strange curse<\/a> invoking a scorpion, held in the Pushkin museum in Moscow.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>3 new <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coptic-magic.phil.uni-wuerzburg.de\/?sfid=20325\" target=\"_blank\">archive entries<\/a>, bringing the total to 13.<ul><li>We are aware that the archives page was not showing for some users; this problem should now be fixed.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In other news, we&#8217;ve added a new <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coptic-magic.phil.uni-wuerzburg.de\/index.php\/bibliography-greek-language-magic\/\" target=\"_blank\">bibliography for Greek magical texts<\/a>, which, like our existing <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coptic-magic.phil.uni-wuerzburg.de\/index.php\/bibliography\/\" target=\"_blank\">bibliography for Coptic magical texts<\/a>, contains many links to useful online books and articles.
