Notes/Discussion: | Alain (1983: p. 417) states that the Greek transcription of the Latin Pater Noster had been added in between for someone who did not know Latin. Harrauer & Sijpesteijn (1985: p. 177) also believe that the Latin text existed first and a Greek transcription has been added in between the lines. Carlig & de Haro Sanchez (2015: p. 79) believe the transcription to be a writing exercise. Since there is disagreement regarding the provenance, Gascou (2001: p. 19) notes that H. Harrauer described in a communication a document recording the purchase of the manuscript in 1886 from Hermopolites. |
