Collection History:

Found in home of the second author’s (Kama Sabri Kolta) father after his death in 1977. The manuscript was created when the father and his sister were living in the region of el-Badari in 1932. Present location unknown, but presumably in private collection of second author (Schulz & Kolta 1998: p. 89).

Notes/Discussion:

This object was created for the aunt of the second author (Kama Sabri Kolta) when she was stung by a scorpion. A healer created the amulet to be used by her as an amulet; she survived and lived to old age (Schulz & Kolta 1998: 89).

Written in red and black ink (Schulz & Kolta 1998: p. 89).
