Purchased by Jean d’Anastasy, consul-general of Sweden and Norway in Thebes prior to 1838. The London portion was sold to the British Museum on the 30th October 1839 (sale catalogue British Museum, Department of Ancient Egypt and Sudan: AES Ar.24); the Berlin portion was sold to the Königliche Museen zu Berlin in 1857 as part of a lot prepared in 1846 (sale catalogue is Lenormant 1857) (see Dosoo 2016).
