| Notes/Discussion: | Stegemann (1934: p. 20) understands it as a binding curse or love spell, perhaps due to the phrase “bind it to you”, but, as Till (1935: p. 209) recognises, this is the standard way to instruct someone to wear an amulet, so that this is more likely to be a set of instructions for the creation of an amulet for healing or protection.
