Notes/Discussion:

Aštad is an Iranian Avestan name, for which cf. Justi 1895, p. 47. Also the Zoroastrian Yazata, the goddess “Rectitude”. Segal rejects the interpretation of the name as Ištar (Segal, 2000, p. 67).
According to Müller-Kessler (2001/2), p. 123, this name is constructed like Ištar-Anahid in Bowl 068A: Ištar-Mah-Dux.
