Notes:

12-15. Here our translation understands the strong article (ⲡⲓ-, ϯ-, ⲛⲓ-) as giving a generic meaning (“cold” rather than “this cold”).
12. ⲕⲁ ⲛⲥⲁϩⲧⲉ is translated “little fire” by Quecke (1963: p. 251), who compares it to the Greek λεπτὸς πυρετός (cf. P. Oxy. 924 ll. 3-5). ⲕⲁ- is the Fayumic construct form of ⲕⲟⲩⲓ, however, so we would not expect it to be followed by an attributive nu. We might also understand “placing (ⲕⲱ) of fire” (cf. ⲕⲁⲣⲱϥ “silence”, literally “placing his mouth”), but the attributive nu would not be expected in this case either.
