7, 10. ⲕⲉⲃⲱ̅ⲗ, ⲧⲉⲩⲃⲱⲗ The word ⲃⲱⲗ means “undo”, but it is likely, given the context, that the verb ⲱⲗ “gather, contain” is intended, since this is the verb usually used in reference to stopping the flow of blood.
10. ⲃⲱ̅ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲓ̅ ⸗ ⲉⲩⲣ̅ⲁ̅ⲉ̅ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ · ⲧⲉⲩⲃⲱⲗ Here we translate an imperative followed by a third future with a third person plural subject, then a conjunctive with a third person plural subject. Meyer (1996: p. 49) suggests as possibilities three imperatives (ⲃⲟⲓⲑⲓ ⲣⲁⲉⲓⲥ ⲃⲱⲗ), an imperative followed by two circumstantial (?) (ⲃⲱⲓⲑⲓ ⲉⲕⲣⲁⲓⲥ (ⲧ)ⲉⲕⲃⲱⲗ), or else a “word of power” followed by the third person plural forms of circumstantial or conjunctive verb forms.
