[1] [I adjure] you, these kharaktēres, by your powers and [2] [your names] that you restrain Hermaieiōn, [3] [the son …]moni! Do not let him speak with Taurine, [the son] [4] [of Auxonia], regarding any matter pertaining to Nonne and […], [5] […], the [children] of Eudoxia, nor allow him to speak [with] [6] […] … this … remain with him at all times, [7] … sight and a forgetfulness. ⟨He⟩ will not know […] [8] … anything, so that he will not speak! Bring fear upon [him]! [9] Make him like an animal! Make him idle in his works! [10] Give conflict and quarrel to him with Nonne and [11] …, the children of Eudoxia! May they separate from each [other for] [12] [a] long time! Bring a great poverty upon [13] [him], and a loss on every side and in anything which he will undertake, [14] for I adjure you, these great kharaktēres by your powers, saying, ‘Quickly, restrain Hermaieiōn, the son [of] [16] […]moni, so that he will not carry out any business with Taurine, [17] [the] son of Auxonia! Do not let him speak about either property [18] or gold! Let bitterness remain in him and [19] destruction and conflict and an odiousness at all times, [20] now, now, quickly! My work, do it! My craft, [21] work it! Let Hermaieiōn be [22] overturned as he suffers a loss! |
