Apparatus:

1. ⲉⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲏⲛ̇ⲕⲃ i.e. Sahidic ⲉ⸗ϥ-ⲟ ⲛ̅-ϭⲛ̅ϭⲉϩ : ⲉϥⲃⲱⲛⲕ ⲏ ⲛⲕⲃ<ⲱⲛⲕ> or ⲉϥ-ⲱ-ⲛ̅ⲕⲏⲛⲕⲃ ? translate “A man who is …”, perhaps “angry” (“Ein Mann der ist…”, “zürnen”) Kropp, Meyer/Smith : “someone who spasms” Gardner | ⲥ̅ⲱ̅ϯ̅ⲟ̅ⲩ̅ⲛ̅ i.e. Greek ζῴδιον
2. ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲃ i.e. ⲙⲟⲣ⸗ϥ̅ | ⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲡⲛⲟⲩϯ i.e. Sahidic ϩⲙ̅ ⲡ-ⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙ̅-ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ | ⲙⲁⲥϯⲭⲓ i.e. Greek μαστίχη

Notes:

This text is numbered 254 in Kropp.
1. ⲛⲕⲏⲛ̇ⲕⲃ Here we tentatively propose to read a variant writing of ϭⲛ̅ϭⲉϩ; the alteration of kappa to kjima would not be unexpected, although the shift from hori to beta would be less common; perhaps cf. ⲙⲟϫϩ/ⲙⲟϫϥ (“girdle”; Crum 213b), although there is also an intermediate form ⲙⲟϫϩϥ.
