Notes/Discussion: | Adurgušlin (אדרגושלין) is an Iranian name, composed of Adur, “fire” and Gušlin, which may be explained as gušl-, possibly dissimilated from gušn-, +in/en as patronymic suffix. The matronym Immi (אימי) is Semitic, meaning “mother” (Segal, p. 69). The name Aḥidat (אחידת) is Semitic, meaning perhaps “seized, locked” (Segal, p. 97). The client Adurgušlin also appears in bowl CAMIB 28A, yet without his wife. The bowl also has similar handwriting to bowl CAMIB 28A (KYP 3890). |
