Notes:

8. ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲉϥϩ̣ⲟⲩ̣ⲱⲣ In CD 738a Crum reads ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲉϥϩⲟⲩⲱⲣⲧ, and he understands ϩⲟⲩⲱⲣⲧ as “a part or disfigurement of body”. Crum indicates that the rest of the text is illegible. ⲡⲉϥ- should perhaps be rather understood as ⲡⲉ-, and ϥ would be at the beginning of the unclear word. The ⲧ could be read as ϯ, “give”, rather than belonging to this previous unclear word.
11. ⲛ̣ⲉϥϭⲱϣ ⲉ̣ could perhaps be understood as a conjunctive, ⲛ̅⸗ϥ-ϭⲱϣ ⲉ-.
