Notes: | We count the initial staurogram of col. 1, as a line, so that in recto col. 1, our Worrell’s line 1 is our line 2. 2, 5, 8-9, 11, 14, 25, 29: ⲉ̅ϫ̅, ⲉ̅ϫ̅ⲉ̅ⲛ̅, ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡ̅ⲓ̈̅ⲥ̅ etc. : Worrell, Pernigotti, and Skiles understand these as abbreviations for Standard Sahidic ⲉϫⲙ̅ ⲡⲓⲥⲡⲓⲣ “upon this side” (cf.col. 1 ll.12-13), but this is a different invocation, and it seems more likely that the powers are being invoked to descend upon an image; ζῴδιον is commonly found written with devoiced consonants (e.g. ⲥⲱⲧⲓⲟⲛ), and appears in a variety of abbreviations; the closest is ⲍ(ⲱⲇⲓⲟⲛ) in P. Heid. Inv. Kopt. 679 (KYP T225) recto l.15. |
