Notes:

10. ⲟ̣ⲩϭⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲥ ⲁⲩϭⲟⲡϥ ⲟⲩⲁⲗⲁ̣ⲗⲱⲥⲉ ⲡⲛⲧⲁϥⲃⲱⲗ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ This title is difficult to parse; perhaps understand something like ⲟⲩϭⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϭⲱⲡⲥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲁⲗⲁⲗⲱⲥ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲃⲱⲗ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ (“⟨For⟩ a ‘seizure’ that has seized a bridegroom, in order that he be released”). This text would seem to be intended to treat a (newly-married?) husband suffering from magically-induced impotence; compare P. Heid. Inv. Kopt. 686 p. 16, ll. 6-8 (257) (KYP M311⧸T166), a recipe with a similar purpose; Cairo JdE 42573 p. 1, ll. 6-10 (KYP M44⧸T44), a recipe intended to bind a bridegroom; and the recipes associated with Psalms 44, 117 and 126 in Hinein⧸Bianquis 1975.
12. ⲛ̣ⲁⲣⲕⲁⲣⲧⲁⲙ̣ⲁ̣ The suggestion to read “cardamom” here is very speculative; ⲕⲁⲣⲧⲁⲙⲁ is a plausible Coptic rendering of Greek κάρδαμον, which seems refer to garden cress (Lepidium sativum), but an Arabised form with an initial al- does not seem to be attested; the normal Arabic name for garden cress is حرف ḥurf, given as the equivalent of ⲕⲁⲣⲇⲁⲙⲟⲛ in the Scala magna. Garden cress is mentioned as an ingredient in several ancient and mediaeval Greek and Arabic medical texts, from Dioscorides; cf. Lev/Amar 2008, 172-174; Macomber 2020, 139.
