Notes:

Parallel texts: P. Mich. inv. 598 vo ll. 11-26, P. Mich. inv. 597 ro 1-6 (KYP M15, T1)
and P. Mich. inv. 1294 (KYP M20, T667)

18. ⧹ⲙⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲙⲏⲧ ⲛⲓϣ̣⧸ The ϣ of ⲛⲓϣ̣ seems certain, but the meaning is unclear. The parallel texts have ⲙⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲙⲏⲧ ⲛⲛⲓⲙ (P. Mich. inv. 598 vo l. 24 (KYP T1)) and [ⲙⲡⲣ]ⲁ̣ⲛ̣ [ⲙⲙⲏⲧ] ⲛ̣ⲓⲙ (P. Mich. inv. 1294 ro l. 22 (KYP T667)). We therefore understand ⲛⲓϣ̣ as a copying error for ⲛⲓⲙ. For the singular article with ⲛⲓⲙ, see Crum CD 225b-226a.
20. ⲁⲑⲁ⧹ⲙ⧸ⲑⲁⲏⲗⲏⲗ in P. Mich. inv. 1294 vo l. 7 (KYP T667) has ⲁⲑ̣ⲁⲑⲁⲏ̣[ⲗ]ⲏⲗ. It is unclear why a ⲙ was inserted above the line here, but it was also copied in P. Mich. inv. 597 ro l. 3 (KYP T1), which has ⲁⲑⲁⲙⲑⲁ⟦ⲗ⟧ⲏⲗⲏⲗ. Perhaps the scribe of this manuscript thought there were supposed to be two names, ⲁⲑⲁⲙ (perhaps “Adam”) and ⲑⲁⲏⲗⲏⲗ.
20. ⧸ⲁⲃⲁⲁⲃⲁ⧹ We follow the reading of P. Mich. inv. 1294 vo l. 7-8 (KYP T667), which has ⲁⲑ̣ⲁⲑⲁⲏ̣[ⲗ]ⲏⲗ ⲁⲃⲁⲁⲃⲁ ⲃⲉⲧ̣ⲁ̣ⲉ̣ⲓ̣, and hence place ⧸ⲁⲃⲁⲁⲃⲁ⧹ in this position. It is unclear why the insertion was made below the line rather than above, which is more usual, but it seems to have created confusion, as the scribe of KYP M15 inserted ⲁⲃⲁⲁⲃⲁ on the line below, before ⲏⲇⲏ ⲏⲇⲏ (P. Mich. inv. 597 ro l. 4 (KYP T1)).
