[1] + Jesus was walking with Michael and [2] Gabriel and Raphael and the Twelve [3] Apostles and the Twenty-[Four] [4] Presbyters by the doors of [5] Paradise. He found a worm lying, [6] sleeping.

He said to him, “What is the matter [7] with you?”

He said to him, “My Lord Jesus Christ, [8] you were seen, and I was afraid.”

He said [9] to him, “By no means, you were not afraid, [10] but rather arise and go and bite NN ⟨child of⟩ NN!”

[11] I adjure you (f.) today, O male scorpion, [12] O female scorpion, in the name {the name} of [13] the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit! [14] I adjure you (m.) ⟨by⟩ the five nails which pierced [15] Christ — whose names are: Satōr, [16] Aretō, Tenēt, Ōtera, Rōtas … [17] — that you (f.) pierce him like fire, [18] and you (m.) roast him like a pillar (?), [19] bring (f.) to him from the south of the earth, do not [20] believe them until I, myself desire!

[21] Offering: … … crown (?) of a bridegroom (?) [22] ⟨who⟩ has not yet gone to his wife.

Notes:

8. ⲛⲧⲁⲟⲩⲛⲟⲟⲩ ⲉ̇ⲣⲁⲕ Polotsky plausibly proposes to restore the equivalent of the Sahidic ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ “the moment I saw you, I was afraid”.
11-12. ⲧⲟⲩⲁϩⲓ ‧ ⲛ̇ϩⲩ̣ⲧ̣ ⲧⲟⲩⲁϩⲓ ⲛ̇ⲥ̇ϩⲓⲙⲓ Bilabel/Grohmann translate “the one who loves men, the one who loves women” (“der die Männer liebt, der die Frauen liebt”), presumably understanding something like Sahidic ⲉⲧ-ⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲛ̅-ⲛ̅-ϩⲟⲟⲩⲧ/ⲛ̅-ⲛ̅-ⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ.
14. ⲡ̇ϯ ⲛⲓⲃⲧ ⲛ̣̇ⲧⲁⲩⲧⲁⲕⲥ Bilabel/Grohmann translate “you who gives the nails which were destroyed (by Christ)”, presumably understanding something like Sahidic ⲡ-ⲉⲧ-ϯ ⲛ̅-ⲛ̅-ⲉⲓϥⲧ ⲉⲛⲧ-ⲁ⸗ⲩ-ⲧⲁⲕⲟ⸗ⲩ.
19. ⲧ̣ⲣⲉⲓⲛⲓ ⲉⲣⲁⲃ ⲉ̇ϫⲓⲛ ⲡⲣⲏⲥ ⲙ̇ⲡ̇ⲕⲁϩ The object to be brought from the south seems to be missing here.
20. ϣⲁⲛⲧⲁⲟⲩⲱϣ̣ ⲁⲛ̣ⲁ⧹ⲕ̣⧸ Cf. Chicago OIM E13767 ll. 10-11 (KYP M7/T134): “until I [10] read ⟨it⟩, myself!” (ϣⲁⲛⲧⲁⲱϣ ⲁⲛⲱⲕ). ⲟⲩⲱϣ here may be an error for ⲱϣ; cf. Kasser CDC 81b s.v. ⲱϣ.
