7-8. ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲥⲓ̅ⲙ̅ⲓ̅ϩⲓ The word ⲥⲓ̅ⲙ̅ⲓ̅ϩⲓ (Sahidic ⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ) here might be translated as “woman” or “wife”. In this case we translate “wife” to distinguish the woman who must bury the object in her house from the “(strange) woman” whom the first woman’s husband or male partner is “chasing after”.
